This endpoint has been deprecated and may be replaced or removed in future versions of the API.

Deprecated. Do not use this endpoint for new integrations.

This API performs a direct login with username and password. It remains available for existing integrations, but it is not the recommended login path.

Use the verification APIs instead. They support password and other methods in one consistent flow:

  1. Initiate verification - start authentication for the configured method (including PASSWORD).
  2. Perform the authentication method - complete the method with the exchange_id from initiation.
  3. Login after authentication - finish login and receive the code or token redirect.

On success, this deprecated endpoint still returns the redirect_uri from the authorization flow with either a code or an access token, depending on the flow.
