Troubleshooting

  • When integrating the ID validator into your iOS or Android application using an embedded browser (e.g. WebView), you must configure your app to forward camera permission requests from the WebView to the native app layer. Without this configuration, the camera permission prompt will be automatically denied, preventing users from completing ID validation. Please refer to the respective documentation of the platform for instructions on how to forward permission requests.

Potential Hardware Issues

  • Some external webcams struggle to adjust their auto-focus when an object is held close to the camera. This can cause the system to receive blurry images, preventing proper analysis and potentially creating a "soft-lock" situation. We have implemented countermeasures and provide a seamless device-switching feature that allows users to complete their ID validation on another device. We recommend encouraging users to perform ID validation on their mobile devices, as these typically offer superior camera quality and user experience.
